Nothing beats a happy heart On February 4th, Baptist South Invites You To Love Your Heart.

The key to preventing heart disease is assessing your risk. Baptist Medical Center South is offering heart screenings for only $20.

Here’s what you’ll get

  • Cholesterol
    Testing
    • A simple finger-prick screening, this procedure measures lipids in your blood as well as your total cholesterol. Lipid levels are important in determining your overall heart health.
  • Blood Pressure
    Screening
    • Quick and easy, this test uses a pressure cuff placed around your upper arm to monitor both diastolic and systolic blood pressure. These results are then compared to a standardized blood pressure chart.
  • Resting EKG
    Test
    • An electrocardiogram, or EKG, is one of the simplest and fastest procedures used to evaluate the heart. Electrodes (small, plastic patches) are placed at specific locations across the chest and are connected to an EKG machine by lead wires, where the electrical activity of the heart is measured, interpreted and printed out for a doctor to examine.

After your testing, you’ll receive a light breakfast.
